My first season ticket as a kid was near Eric at Ayresome Park, he seemed to know absolutely everyone as he was always sharing a word with people on his way to his seat, must have taken him ages to get to his seat.

What a wonderful story - I spotted Eric when he was a special guest at the Boro Xmas party with Goffy last year.
But what a marvellous reunion this must have been between Mogga and Eric.

i can remember Eric being outside the gates before the match at Ayresome from the early/mid 70s

Eric was a mainstay, wind, hale, rain or snow.

Boro is in his soul.

and we know that Mogga has the heart of a lion.

I always got the impression he never went into the match just listened to it outside on his radio ?
