Very good. But it is minority position, but one that is overrepresented among online and match going Liverpool supporters.

I would prefer Boro winning a pre-season friendly to England winning the World Cup.

I don't even bother watching England the large majority of the time just does nothing for me. Once the season is over it's all just about when the new season starts UTB!

If we only scraped a promotion then we would be back down the following year and probably get stuffed each week. That would be in the back of my mind and so I'd rather an England win.
If we went up very convincingly then that's a different matter. We could perhaps look forward to competing in the PL. For me that edges an England win.

Thing is Burnley and Sheff Utd both went up convincingly, and they're getting absolutely pummeled in the Premier League, the quality is miles apart.

If England win the World Cup I just don't see how that will affect me day to day, week to week, month to month in the same way that following Boro does.

I will no doubt enjoy the tournament and the few days afterwards, but it wouldn't be long before I'm thinking of the new season and who Boro are buying etc.
And moaning when the International breaks rear their ugly heads to ruin my weekend.
