England v India 5th Test

"The fastest opening partnership of 100 runs in Test cricket was achieved by Graeme Smith and Herschelle Gibbs for South Africa, reaching the milestone in just 22.5 overs (137 balls),"
These two got 233 in 35 overs against Pakistan a couple of years ago so I'd be amazed if they haven't already broken that record - I reckon its well out of date

edit: they got 100 in 83 balls in that game. I reckon the record is somewhere around 50.

Imagine putting your arms around and acting all cocky, to someone who has just smashed you all over the ground inside 6-7 overs.

The lack of self awareness from Akash was astounding....says more about his profile and personality than anything else.

Duckett has averaged 51 this series. Instrumental in getting us that 1st test win and this opening partnership might well just have taken the series out of India's reach.

He also hit 140 v Zimbabwe earlier in the summer.

Slowly catching up with the Aussies as one of the most unlikable teams going this India side.

Absolutely can't handle getting beat, love it.

Lovely player to watch Crawley in full flow, would have been good to see him get a hundred. The last couple of knocks should dispel the doubts about Duckett and him opening in the Ashes.

The opening partnership should give us a big big platform to go on and avoid a loss in this test match now.

I'd love for us to win....but most importantly we don't lose, to ensure we win the series.

Crawley and Duckett have done a good job. Now hopefully Root and Pope kick on too.
