A "shot" clock would be a simple way to increase the rate, with runs added as punishment depending on who's caused the delay. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s happening in other sports, such as golf, even tennis with extending breaks. Professional sport people seeking perfection. It’s not right, and timing os the only way to stop it as you say
