As tempting as it will be for Southgate to switch to wing-backs I'd stick with the same team we had out vs Senegal.

I don't think we should give them too much respect and the main focus should be on our own strengths, rather than trying to nullify theirs.

Then let them worry about our front 3 and Jude.

Their left hand side is incredible with Theo & Mbappe bombing forward...but we need to use that at our advantage because neither track back a lot and there should be space for Saka to exploit.

Whilst Theo is probably one of the best attacking LB's in the world. He's definitely not a great defensive LB.

And Saka can always revert to 'defensive' mode too if/when required at times. He's played as a wingback before.

I think Saka is perfect for that right hand side.

And then if we need to, we have Sterling/Rashford to come off the bench to give us that huge pace on the counter (if the game goes as planned).

I agree, although that approach also got us the first goal (it just hadn't worked up to that point).

I think we'll be less likely to do that tomorrow though, mainly as I don't expect we'll go chasing the first goal.

Ooh I don’t like that left side, very exposed.

Like said the other day, I think stop Griezmann you stop France, but you have to shackle Mbappe as well of course - and win the physical battle with Giroud.

There’s been a lot of talk about it but I do think Walker can do a great job against Mbappe. Midfielders have to be so smart and disciplined though, huge match for them. I think Henderson and Rice are great choices for this one, they’re intelligent players who never stop.

Absolutely no chance we are playing Saka wing back. Shaw has been excellent and we don’t need to change our shape. Same team as the last game please
