The problem for Rogers is he plays in a position we are stacked with talent.

Foden, Palmer and Bellingham are all much better no10s. I think Rogers is probably playing a bit better than Gibbs-White but both are miles behind the other 3. I like Gibbs-White and Rogers.

Rogers is a bit more direct whereas Gibbs-White probably better with his ball retention. So it depends what the manager wants to prioritise.

Still not a single LB in the whole squad, and no Roger’s again. I’m delighted Carsley didn’t get the job permanently.

We've had a very easy group.

Ireland and Finland are terrible.
Greece aren't much better.

Whoever was in charge, it would have been a national humiliation for England to not have topped that group.

I think there has ultimately been a lot of positives.
We’ve played very attacking football.
We’ve introduced lots of young players into the squad who have almost all thrived.
We’ve won the group.
He’s not going to win manager of the season, but he’s done well in what could have been a sticky patch between managers.
