Maddison isn’t going

Not in any of Gareths squads I doubt he’d even make the 55 let alone the 26

Where is his fall back ward-prowse btw he’ll be in.
 
I don’t have a problem with Dier going as he is comfortable playing in a back 3 and has been in decent form for Spurs since Conte arrived.
 
It will be a shame if Ben White doesn’t go. Rate him highly and deserves his place more than Maguire would

Unbelievable though - Southgate really is clueless and has massive blindspots that he is either not aware of and is aware of and doesn't care. Maddison is far better than his teachers pet Mason Mount. Rumour has it he wont take Trent and is taking the finished trippier.
Once again...these are the reasons Southgate will go after our World cup failure and once he gets a proper job he'll show how poor a club manager he is (note; I think he knows he isn't cut out for club management and will just be an FA Stooge for 30 years after being asked to step down)

Got called up in in 2019, caught an illness but then went to the casino whilst England were playing, which was plastered all over the papers.

The only problem there is he was given his sole cap immediately after the casino incident.

If Southgate picks the likes of Trippier at Right back we are doomed. His best years are behind him - and everyone knows that and he a is safe 'Gary Neville' type player in my opinion. He had his moment in the last World cup but not anymore...Southgate will pick him though and he'll offer us zilch....at this level....

But didn't Foden (and someone else) continue to get called up despite breaking COVID rules and going to a hotel room with some girls whilst away on England duty,

Maddison's "transgression" seems fairly minor in that context....
