England EUROS squad

Grealish is quality and runs with the ball better than anyone else. If playing three forwards England will need six players in the squad at least:

Kane/Calvert-Lewin
Sterling/Sancho
Rashford/Foden

Mount could play in midfield or in the front three. Does Grealish go as one of the extra three players in the squad? Where does that leave Mason Greenwood?
Those 6 mentioned should all go, as well as Grealish, Mount and Greenwood. That's 9 players for 4 positions in a 4-2-3-1, with Mount also being an option deeper. Take 4 central midfield players - Rice, Henderson, Phillips and Bellingham. 5 fullbacks - Walker, TAA, Trippier, Chilwell and Shaw. 5 centrebacks - Stones, Maguire, Mings and god knows who else, Keane and Dier? Finally 3 keepers - Pope, Henderson and Pickford.

Apart from CB I'd say the squad pretty much picks itself. Saka could be an option due to his versatility, but I'm not sure if there's anyone else pushing hard to break into the 26.

Did you notice last night the second Rashford went on the left wing TAA was getting caught out time after time. any decent winger has the beating of him. England are poor defensively as it is. If it was me id have AWB in there as hes the best defensive full back we have by a mile. however Walker or James will start,

I guess there's Ward-Prowse and Lingard to consider. JWP will probably go if Henderson doesn't, but I wouldn't take Lingard over those named despite scoring for fun for West Ham. I suspect Gareth may do however.

All depends if he is gonna go with a back 3 or not for me if he goes for a back 3 southgate will pick

pickford

walker stones maguire
James Shaw
Rice Mount foden ( if hendo is out )
kane sterling

if he goes for a 4 it will be

pickford

james stones maguire shaw

rice Hendo or mount

sterling foden rashford
kane

lots of pace of the bench

Will Jordan Henderson make it? I read that there is ‘chance’ that he could be available for the Euros.

Oh and Fikayo Tomori is a must included. Fantastic player. He kept Ronaldo quiet for whole 90 minutes and Tomori scored other day.

My only concern with that is you've picked 2 CF, Kane and Calvert-Lewin. One injury and we're down to just 1 CF. I guess you could push Rashford up, but I'm not sure. I'd personally take Bamford or Watkins as a third CF but not sure which of the others I'd drop, it's a tough decision, and no perfect solution. Whoever he takes, there will be fans complaining over who is left out.

I think players like Graelish and Jordan Henderson are the ones who may miss out if there's a debate about who will make the cut.
Graelish has barely played all year, though he'd likely have had a great chance without the injury lay-off, and Henderson won't be kicking a ball for Liverpool till next season.
Grealish * 😉

Sterling doesn't start for me. Rashford Foden either side of Kane. Mount, Henderson and Rice in the middle. If he plays a back three drop Henderson.

Sterling and Kane up front - did you see what we did to Spain?
Grealish Mount Rice and Foden in midfield
Chilwell Stones Maguire and Walker or TAA
Pickford
This team would take some stopping.

Sterling hasn't replicated that form for quite some time now.

That team would be rinsed by any team that kept possession with any modicum of decency.

Exactly the team I'd start with too. Sancho and Sterling off the bench at least the first game.

That's a good suggestion actually. First choice for Milan shows how good he is.

I’d take Tomori over Mings. I don’t see Mings starting and he has a howler in him, he’s not a player I’d want coming on for the last 15-20 minutes of a game. He’s just an inferior ball playing defender.

Probably be ridiculed for it, but I’d be tempted to take Tarkowski as a centre back to come on for the last 20 minutes. He’s used to keeping concentration, defending deep and looking to try and see games out.

Sterling is one of Southgate's golden boys and no matter how poor is form is, and it's been poor for sometime now, he's going to be one of the first names on the team sheet.
