England Cricket this summer - been great!

Really enjoyed the cricket this summer- tests, one sayers, T20 Twenty. Seeing 3 lots of opposition has been a great success. Capped with the series versus the Aussies- always means more to me playing them.

Some brilliant performances- close results- certain games ebbing and flowing - never boring. Anyone else feel the same?

I wasn't sure how empty stadium international cricket would go but I've enjoyed it. It's definitely still had the intensity that I think some football is missing.

I think a lot of credit must go to the ECB and the 3 sides that have come over. I can't imagine the effort it must take for weeks in bio bubbles/testing and hotels etc.

I'm still not sure how we won last night. An amazing fight back and nice to see bowlers getting some credit

Yep, absolutely brilliant summer of cricket. Also got the blast which is underway, series defining one-dayer on Wednesday and the IPL starting on Saturday.

As a relative latecomer to the game I'm increasingly finding myself watching more and more cricket at the expense of football, it's an engrossing sport with so many variables, sub-plots etc. I think the commentating helps (particularly Sky). I became so disaffected with the lazy, cliched football "expert analysis" - it's refreshing to listen to actual experts in their chosen field speak passionately about the intricacies, technique and strategies at play in the game.

All of this for a sport I've never played as well (discounting the three forward defensive strokes I played in corridor cricket against a Kenyan international bowler a few years ago)

Brilliant performances from an England team we can be proud of. It's actually made me consider getting Sky after a lifelong personal boycott - especially after I found out from someone on here how out of touch I was in thinking that the evil Murdochs were still involved!

Absolutely agree. Amazing summer and cricket still works on TV without the crowds. Probably having played enough games at empty grounds myself, helps!
