Lets not forget though, he is w@nk
The team is totally unbalanced, we see it every week.
Engel was shocking last night but the problem is far from just Engel.
We could play the best left back in the world there but the way we set up he would still be left totally exposed.
Personally I don't think Borges can solve the problem without a rejig of the team, we have got to find somebody to play the left sided midfield role.
Even when McGree is actually fit and playing he tends to wander inside a lot.
Thought Hamiltons defending last night was poor often leaving McCormick with 2 players to mark.
Opposition teams have now sussed this out and will continue to exploit it.
Just blame it all on Engel if you want and get rid but that isn't going to solve the problem.
Both are groin injuries.. might be best just to leave it so they both can have a full international break offAre VDB and Howson both definitely out?
I heard Howson was back training back end of last week
To be fair, that 'strong-minded' comment could apply to a lot - some of whom are good enough, but weak mentally. We have lacked backbone and (vocal) leadership for so many years though. It seems modern players just aren't built that way - or maybe just the ones we sign. So many times, we crumble at the first sign of adversity, often conceding a second soon after going behind.Problem with Engel is, he makes one mistake and the wheels completely come off.
That's a mental issue, he has in games played decent, he shows flashes of very good play mixed in with some awful decisions.
Most Boro fans really like him, he looks a really nice lad, but he needs taking out the team.
We need winners, we need players who are strong minded, he is not good enough unfortunately.
