šŸ™Cut your energy bills nearly in half with Octopus Tracker

Im on the Tracker. Whats the Intelligent Octopus? On the App says super cheap EV charging. Can that be bolted onto the tracker rate or is it a completely different tariff?

Tracker is performing very well,Electricity is just over 16p today snd Gas 5.19, huge savings since I moved over.

It's different. Gives a cheap rate overnight or at specific times but higher rate during the day. I have an EV so looked at it but the tracker was either cheaper or about the same but with the flexibility of being able to charge whenever I wanted.

If you aren't on the tracker then the intelligent tariff is much better as an EV owner than the regular tariff.

Intelligent is where you get a set cheap period for charging ev, it's cheap during that time and expensive outside of it. Some people have been able to make big savings by shifting their load like washing drying ev charging etc to that time but depend on your life basically

My tracker for gas this morning is showing a dynamic unit rate and not a tracker date this must be a mistake? Electricity looks to be ok,anyone else showing this for gas please?

I'm just a standard home user. It's been 30-50% cheaper than epg rates

There is a 6 month waiting list but they might open up more capacity. At worst it's the same as epg until you get switched over but with Ā£50 credit for joining if you use this link. If you're on a fix though, do some figures. Loads of info in first post

Advice please. Have finally been offered to join the tracker tariff, however, in the same breath they are suggesting increasing my direct debits by Ā£80 or so a month more. Anyone else had this?

You can reduce your dd down any time you like via their app or customer services

Just reply and say you are comfortable with the level it is set at, especially given tracker unit rates

just had an email from octopus energy saying i can now move onto the tracker, but if im seeing correctly its dearer than im on at the moment, would that be correct im just a standard user in a bungalow, thought originally was a good idea, but now not so sure

Iā€™m in the same situation, but the tracker is undoubtedly a better rate. I have accepted the change and will alter my DD

Gas is 4.9p a kwh today which is over 50% cheaper than the EPG tariff. Electricity is around 20p kwh which is around a third cheaper than the EPG tariff.

I tried to switch to their EV tarried but they want to start me on a DD of Ā£395 a monthā€¦
currently paying Ā£265 and then top it up with my company expense for the car chargeā€¦
the tariff looks better but I donā€™t want that much on DDā€¦

Tracker rates are very good, go for it,you can easily adjust your monthly DD via your online account.
I've saved Ā£150 per month in February and March, savings will slow down as we move into the warmer month's but it's a 100% yes from me.
