Anyone else going? any travel recommendations for people driving from Yarm way?

Seems like getting a metro to the stadium is a good idea, but unsure how close to get before swapping to the metro

for a concert????????? I would never pay that for anyone. world has gone mental. I saw the prices for the killers at the riverside and was gobsmacked.. I saw Paul Weller for a tenner!!! :)

Par for the course these days sadgit

Guess the productions have all got more sophisticated these days with video screens and backgrounds and all that and are more expensive to put on.

hence why I don't bother. I saw the headliners at most of the summer festivals and I couldn't careless about any of them (KISS FFS!!!). I used to go to a gig once or twice a week, but haven't for years, more than 10!

Tickets still available, ranging from £83 to £415.
The £83 ticket will be right at the back. Elton will be just a large round dot in the distance. Probably spend most of your time watching him on the screen.
Unfortunately with stadium concerts you need to fork out a lot of money to get a decent spec.

Do a little research on European tours , you'll find a nice weekend away and a concert for the price of a ticket. We did it for Billy Joel, got flights to Dublin, 2 nights in a top hotel a top class meal and 2 tickets for the Dublin 02. Still cheaper than Birmingham.

Has he stopped drinking? He was ***ed at Castle Howard when I saw him. Still buy a ticket above some of the acts I've seen on the retro circuit. eg
UB40.newcastle. Boring lifeless
Elvis costello . Harrogate. a bored boring tired performance with an american accent for some reason.
Bryan Ferry.Boro Town Hall.still love him but sang far too many Roxy songs rather than his solo stuff.

I paid about £500 for 2 decent tickets for Elton as a 40th birthday present for my wife thankfully she's taking her best mate rather than me. There's always the jeopardy with Elton it might be his last gig.

If Elton John was playing in my back garden I’d close the curtains. No doubting he HAD talent, but absolutely dog turd of a performer these days.

Iron Maiden still worth the money at Download last night though.

Bought tickets for Liverpool almost 4 years ago but it’s been rescheduled 3 times now. Cut my losses and returned them.
