Even if she'd scored 3,666,812 international goals for the England women's team, she wouldn't have broken or overtaken Wayne Rooney... as it's a completely different game with different statistics and records, different legendary players and managers, different iconic moments, different historic clubs and international teams, different tournaments.. etc etc etc etc etc etc.

Agree with Wilderball on comparisons with the mens game.
She deserves all the plaudits for her own code and is a great example of a shining light for all women, It is a shame some of our male footballers who have achieved are not necessarily such positive role models like Ellen
As for presenting, not for me. I do not care care what gender a presenter is, what their sexuality is, what ethnicity they are, how many caps they gained or whether they once had an affair with the Bishop of York while singing in the Minster choir. However, if they ever wore a Leeds shirt and never subsequently absolved all their sins by playing for Boro then they can go forth and multiply.

I agree, we have a womens 100m record and a mens, and it' s right that it stays that way.
