Elizabeth the Last

I don't like something so it should be abolished.

I don't give a fig one way or the other, but if it puts a smile on people's faces it's not a bad thing.

This board is a million miles away from the real world. It represents about .00003% of the population. To be accepted you have to be Labour, a Remainer, anti Royalist, pro Republican with a like for SF, no arguments against any of the list.

Out there outside of here people are having parties, enjoying the 70 years, they adore William his wife and children.

Yet you feel the need to attack those who are of different opinions in a passive aggressive post?

Why not have a referendum on it. I would love to see Labour to join the get rid grouping. They will look as daft as they did trying to change the Brexit vote.
SF?

Oh stop it, you can't cope with people disagreeing, I said this in my post. Here is more of a one party state than China, zero tolerance.

Because the school bully wants something we have to agree, not for me.

Brilliant isn't he?

That was his answer to me questioning the motive of a right wing Labour group the other day.

You didn't answer what upstanding decent law abiding peaceful party it is

Which insult did you use on that thread? Feeble or imbecile? I have taken on board your opinion of me as thick as mince. I think it was after the 10th time you told me.

Nothing against many of them personally though IMHO Liz should be the last. The immediate few: Anne, Charles, Andrew, Edward & possibly William & Harry can have a small manor house & grounds each somewhere... the rest gets taken back to form tourist attractions & history is updated / completed by listing all the negative royal associations too.

While we're at it House of Lords & titles, gone - changed to a more democratic / technocratic elected body to oversee control.. & FPtP voting system to go also...

For too long the UK has been governed by an insular group of similarly educated & socially blinkered clique that is more about who you know than what you have experienced or know - nepotistic cabal..

Down with the whole lot..

Thought you would be anti royalist with your xenophobic hatred of the Germans?

You're the only person in this thread that's jumped in and started attacking other people's opinions while bringing in comments from other threads that have nothing to do with this one to start yet other derailing of a thread.

You're being very hypocritical.

I never attacked anyone's opinion, I leave that too others. I said this board as a whole does not represent the real world.

If you want rid of the royals that's your view, it's an open democracy.

I wasn't surprised it was started by a bloke who is an open admirer of a pro British non-sectarian party.

The life of a royal in the 21st century is little more than abuse. The children of the monarch are locked into a world that they can't escape from. When I think of all the freedoms I have enjoyed in my life that they are simply unable to do it makes me realise that for all their perceived privilege they are actually imprisoned. If we abolished the royal family and made them fend for themselves we would be doing them (or at least their offspring) a huge favour.

Know them personally do they ?

Or just the narrative that is controlled to the subjects, largely masking the dysfunctional mess of a family that we're expected to doff our caps to?

Which "pro British non sectarian party" would that be?

Not sure about that, Harry as an example has lived a pretty full life that many people of his age would love to have experienced.

Totally agree. Look at William and Harry, The death of their mother was turned into a national obsession and they had to grieve in front of the whole nation

Who do you know who doffs their cap to them? I personally never have. But yes out of courtesy of I was ever infront of her I would bow my head. I do it in church every Sunday to my God. I even go down on one knee, but it's getting harder to get back up.

As I said if the majority of people in a referendum don't want them off they go.

Why would people adore William and his wife? They're just people who they've never met who've had no impact on them personally. Personally i find it hard to comprehend. I'd agree it's a minority at the moment who are pro republic, but it's nothing like as insignificant as you suggest
