Eddie Howe leaves Bournemouth

Howe built the nucleus of Dyche's promotion winning team (the first time he got them up). He bought players like Ben Mee, Trippier, Ings and Charlie Austin so I would argue that he would have eventually succeeded at Burnley.

As someone mentioned he left Burnley for family reasons rather than him not liking the cold weather up north.
He did bring in those players to his full credit. Burnley mate of mine says that if he could have organised the defence he would have done well but whilst they were good going forward they also shipped in lots of goals. What Dyche did was simply organise the defence and Burnley started to challenge and achieved promotion the following season.

I'd pay Warnock's one year contract now and get him here. At least we wouldn't have to rip the master plan up in 12 months time and start again. One of the things about getting Warnock I disliked was it was only a 12 month deal.

Bournemouth should have allowed him to rebuild in the championship as Burnley did with Dyche. Howe is talented and with a defensive minded coach as an assistant I think he will succeed in his next job. Palace is a good shout.

I will go with that weegord, I'm a great believer certain managers & clubs are the right fit, remember him leaving Bournemouth to become Burnleys manager & after a short while, maybe a month he left stating he was unsettled away from Bournemouth & went back & became their manager again
21 months actually but lets not split hairs:sneaky:

Yeah I'm not knocking what Dyche did but I think with a bit more time Howe would have got things right at Burnley as well.

For me Dyche is the best manager in the PL, Burnley are the best PL team, Sheff Utd are a close 2nd, it depends how they do over the next few seasons, hopefully they carry on competing & staying the course

Bournemouth ripped the Championship apart that year they got promoted (I know they spent a fair bit like) but I'd love to see him at Boro. Massively unlikely of course. I can see him going to Everton or Spurs, maybe even Newcastle, whoever sacks their manager first next season.
