Let the bargains commence... straight out for dinner today. Possibly tea too.

All aboard the food express... next stop bargainville!!!

Randy if you see this... any spare tables in the oak? 🤔

This could be a really good way to help independent restaurants yet Subway, KFC, McDonalds etc allowed to participate - its a joke
How can they stop them though? They're franchises and the owners still need to make ends meet. Can they say 'American chains not allowed'? Is that fair on the franchise owners?

Some people might say this is a fishing expedition... but if that were the case you would have mentioned breakfast and supper too.

Keep us posted- where you went, what you had and a rating. I think this could be a good thread to showcase the food in the area while the offer is running.

I've utterly let this pass me by. Some sort of voucher you download or something or do you just ask in the eatery?

no vouchers needed, it just gets knocked off your bill at the end, up to a max of £10 per person. The establishment then claim the difference back

Edit - at least that is my understanding, apols if I've mislead by getting it wrong

you can pop your postcode in here to find participating eateries near you

I could have made it a lot more fishy if I was 😉

Anyways good idea, I like it. I will post where I went for dinner. Some of my mates are off to the Blackwell Ox later £5 mains... undecided on that at moment.

Also the Mrs has just won Sunday lunch for 4 at the vault so the bargains keep on rolling in!

I've just been to the Metro Centre and the restaurants who were just opening up already had small queues forming. Neighbouring businesses were still completely shut, so it could really bump up the figures when choice is reduced for customers.

Just realised btw - went out and had a coffee this morning with someone.
Thought it was really cheap, forgot it was on that kind of thing too

Already got bookings for Dinner Monday, Wednesday this week and I think my wife is out for Brunch tomorrow also. Be a good chance to try some independents which have been on the list for a while (y)

Cookfellas in guisborough is on my target list of never been to places during this offer. Will be all independents unless I fancy a snack inbetween and grab a 50p cheeseburger
