Early Bird Season Tickets on sale

I'd love that, as I probably only go to 3 home games a season at the moment. However when the club can't sell all their "spare" seats why would they let you sell yours ahead of them ?

That only really works when there's a weekly sell out.

We will sell out must weeks in the Premiership. The club could also sell these season ticket can't attend seats at half price and pay the season tickets half back. This is what NFL sides do as I bought a packers ticket through their scheme.

I think we will renew ours this season, but it's starting to get towards the top end of what I'm willing to pay if I'm honest. I get costs are going up, but the costs are going up on everything and eventually something will have to give.

That's not too bad and still value for money imho

South Stand EB new applicant £544 works out £23.65 Championship & £28.63 EPL
Presuming the walk up tickets go up a similar percentage you would get 10 'free games' in the Championship and almost 4 in EPL
For renewals you are looking at 14 & 7 free ones

The season ticket model seems the best way of rewarding commitment.
You have to feel for families looking to attend the odd match but you could argue that for many 'luxury' activities

So last 15 seasons I think they've been as follows (for a standard adult ticket in North Stand):

2023/24 - £480
2022/23 - £450
2021/22 - £420
2020/21 - £420
2019/20 - £397
2018/19 - £397
2017/18 - £397
2016/17 - £397
2015/16 - £370
2014/15 - £370
2013/14 - £370
2012/13 - £370
2011/12 - £370
2010/11 - £370
2009/10 - £370

Does anyone know what the % discount was last year for early purchases?

Going off the posts above, if a new West Upper is £705 today, then add say (total guess) 10% for purchases made after 31 March you get to £775. Divided by 19 PL games and you get £40.80 per game. So walk-ups would have to be around £45.

What were the prices before 2009?

Or they could sell their tickets at full price. I'd also doubt we'd sell out every week in the PL, do people really want to pay a walk up price of £40 plus to see us slip into the relegation zone after a 3-0 defeat to Brentford ?

We'll sell out against City, Utd, Newcastle, Arsenal, Liverpool and maybe Chelsea and Spurs.

It's your age on the 1st of August. The thing is if you get a half season ticket at Christmas you would get the pensioner rate must likely
So if someone isn’t 21 til June, can they still buy the season card at the 18-21 yr price or does it actually line up with the season dates, so age at the start of the next season?

10 duff seasons plus..

2022/23 - £450 - good
2021/22 - £420 - decent
2015/16 - £370 - good
2014/15 - £370 - good

So 6.7% increase for renewing EB's.
10% premium on top of that for new EB's.
Christ knows what premium then for new SC's post EB.
And then the match by match price further premium.

Their costs simply haven't gone up to require that. General inflation hits only a very small fraction of their cost of goods and operating costs, which is over 80% wages and amortisation.
If we go up then the prices could be better understood for PL football, but even then the explosion of media and other revenue dwarfs the ticket revenue.
If we don't, then what is already expensive will feel like insult pricing.
Have you included the running costs of Riverside Stadium, including inflated energy costs.
I have been told all these costs in the recent past and they massively change your calculations.
