Dwight Gayle

Scorer of goals? Yes

Prone to an injury? Yes

Top championship striker? Yes

Getting on in age? Yes

A loan move may be ok but it feels like the type of signing we would make at the end of a window rather than beginning

If he can pull off the performances of 2018/19, I'm all aboard.

But that was a long time ago.

On the basis that he's better than what we have, and he'd be a big improvement on what we had last year, its a yes from me

Isaac Hayden joined Norwich today on loan with a permanent move depending on performance related clauses, I think I would take it if it was similar to the Sporar deal.

He’s getting on though, 33 in October.

Too old, too injured, too much salary?

Isn't he on £60k a week?

Can he do the running Wilder demands for a 40 plus game season?

Will he score when chances come his way? Almost certainly.

A better investment on loan than signing Gyokeres? For God knows what on a four year deal?

🤷🏼‍♂️

I doubt it's going to be an either or situation.

We'll be signing at least 3 strikers in this window, I'm sure of it.

too injury prone now, too many players living on performances from way too long ago.... was once good, now an unknown quantity - regarding injuries, too big a risk for a club like us...

I'm sure we will. But I expected a semi-established expensive Gyokeres (or Riis maybe?) type, a lower league punt who has good numbers, Twine? And experienced cover Joao or Rhodes or Stewart?

Then maybe a Balogun type signing late in the window and maybe loaning out Coburn.
