Good luck in your next chapter, a great signing for us and I loved his energy and enthusiasm. A very good player who had absolutely rotten luck in his career with injuries.

Loved him. Gave everything, every game, and was a nice lad. Actually one of my favourite stories of the last decade, given he was out in the cold when he came to us to train.

Brilliant signing. You'd say pound for pound (as a free) terrific value for money.

One of those signings that I simply didn't understand. I was proved completely wrong. I posted something along the lines of 'why are we signing and injury prone none scoring winger?'

What do I know

I imagine that version of Watmore would fit right in to Kim's style. A workaholic.

Was speaking to an ex Altrincham player who played with him and knew him pretty well - said he was a fantastic lad, down to earth even went to some Alty games after he signed for the mackems.

Shame his career was blighted by injuries.

He was brilliant for us, he was the heartbeat of the team and set the pace of the game. Ran himself daft, gave everything and I hope he has a good career going forward.

Don't think it bothered us much at the time tbh. A cracking lad, looked like a real breakthrough then had 2 shocking injuries. Was over the moon he got another chance somewhere, not least at our cousins. He's got a uni degree iirc, intelligence to fall back on, not many footballers have got that.
