Downing Street coppers put the boot in

...to 'Boris'. In today's Telegraph a source (reputedly their boss) reveals they've been interviewed by Sue Gray. When asked for detail the source said "Put it this way, I'd be very surprised if Boris Johnson is still Prime Minister by the end of this week."

Weird how those coppers had all the information needed while Cressida D*ck refused to ask them. If Johnson goes, she should go with him. They could compare notes about whose pants are more ablaze.

Interesting development, though the worry for me if it’s correct is who they would choose to replace him.
As awful as the potential replacements are they aren't as bad as Jonhson. They're all equally inept and incapable of doing the job but at least there won't be anywhere near the same degree of lies. Regardless, unless something seriously major happens in the next couple of years they won't get anywhere near a majority at the next GE whether its Johnson, Raab, Sunak, Truss or whoever. IMHO they won't even be the largest party.

So two years on who knows

What stands out for me more than anything, and I haven’t heard any reporter raise it is……
If they did not think there were any breaches and it was all within the rules, why toddle off to Tesco with suitcases to fill up with wine, why not use carrier bags like everyone else?

Ans: Because people often toddle up and down Downing St with their trolley dolly cases and people assume they contain work documents, when in reality they are really mini bars hidden in plain sight. Devious tactics to cover up reality. The lot want sacking.

Hopefully they will elect a cretin like JRM or Liz Truss. My fear is Sunak will get the job and then he will be groomed perfectly for the media and will start to win over the defecting tories very quickly.

It's quite something when looking at the period from 2010 - 2022. The amount of seemingly awful Tory Ministers is astonishing. How the likes of Truss, Raab, Grayling, Hancock, Williamson and of course Johnson himself have been in senior position is beyond me.

12 years of Tory government has had seriously bad consequences for Britain but people have still voted Tory! Right-wing media controlled by billionaires have just done hatchet jobs on the likes of Corbyn.

Amazing that the Police have evidence of a crime but rather than investigate, they hand it over to a Civil Servant who is appointed by Johnson, who is only finding out facts, will hand the report to Johnson & Johnson decides what is published and what punishment he should receive for the crime.

One wonders why they didn't just investigate it themselves.

Nothing to do with Cressida being a lifelong friend of Johnson's sister...?

These lot have/are doing serious damage. When you consider that's in relation to other governments like Thatcher's, that's really something.

Said it before, when a new government gets elected there are a usually a few very strong ministers, look at Thatchers first cabinet (I hated them but you can’t argue they had ideas and drive). look at Blair’s first, same again. After a few years those ministers either fall out with the leader or just move on. At that point you get competent people that are capable but in hock to the leader. When they go you get the also-rans and servile idiots who just want to be in the cabinet, have no real ideas and just want power. When the Tories won with Cameron they were not expecting to win but did because of a worldwide recession so there were very few ministers with the experience or drive to do well, mostly second raters and now we have had 12 years of Tory Government and we are being led by their dregs.

BJ actually took a leaf out of the Thatcher playback and dumped the members of the cabinet that didn't support him 100%, but in the process it left what the Tory party call BJ's nodding dogs
