Dover Ferries : Long Delays

Hmm I better recheck my travel Insurance . Two weekend trips in the coming months, will they have sorted it by them? Apparently there is not full staffing at French passport controls in Dover. They will probably blame us, sound familiar(Paris)?

If it is not lack of French Border control staff ( as reported also by travellers and all news reportage - 6 out of 12 booths open) - then what else could it possibly be??

If it is not down to poor planning or circumstances, they are probably just making a temporary point. It's self harming for them to deny themselves the opportunity to take money from British tourists.

They're still taking the money, just waiting a few extra hours for it.

One less meal and puts people off a return journey.

What they should do next is man it properly, but pass the extra cost on to the travellers to further make a point. £1 Brexit levy for everyone. Jacob Rees-Mogg might be able to spot it then.

Don't you think that a policy of isolationism was bound to have its downsides as warned. We no longer have free borders, "we" chose not to have them so the consequences are "critical border crossing incidents" like this. Of course the French are easy targets to blame but you reap what you sew.

I used to live down that way, about 25 minutes up from the coast. Looking at the gridlocked areas it looks like Dover is essentially cut off in all directions. All the minor roads and cut throughs, rat runs take you nowhere, just to another blocked road.
