No he’s accusing people of using this to deflect away from the OP which he blames on Brexit, (along with every other negative thing that happens)
but the OP was obviously the school holiday mad rush, as no more reports on the weekends following of queues at Dover/Folkestone.

Nothing to do with deflecting from Brexit, it is just proving my point that the majority of infrastructure fails when faced with overwhelming numbers.

There will be no passports to be stamped, checked and double checked, just motorist sat in traffic jams trying to get through toll booths.

As I said above, we all know the issues Brexit’s caused.
Yeah it just sickens me when people bring random stories like this up from foreign countries to deflect from brexit though. I know you're not a Brexitist. And I assume you know the French all take their summer holiday at the same time so this is a none story

The only deflection is blaming Brexit rather than himself for the hard 2019 Tory brexit he voted for
Amongst others on this board who did exactly the same

but because ST is so vocal on this subject he is the one that is attacked

ST has acknowledged many times on this board his actions and reasons, enough in my eyes that the blame for having a Conservative government and therefore Brexit should not be used as a stick to beat him with

What`s worse for me are those who voted Tory and therefore Brexit are silent and don`t acknowledge what they did

And the chunts will be voting the same next election, despite the obvious damage they're helping to cause.

They have no shame.

Anyone who has even the slightest doubt the trouble thats happening at dover ISN'T a consequence of Brexit...there's a gentleman who's waiting to welcome you into his fan club, if your not already a member.
Please make sure you address your application form to Mr Farage properly OH! and don't forget to send your cheques of £200 named directly to him...ta!!!

And I assume you know that the first weekend of the school holiday’s is a ball ache to get anywhere in Britain. I feel the point you are making gives credit to mine.

Keelo - It seems you haven’t read the whole thread.

No one is saying it isn’t Brexit’s fault, just stating that the Dover incident was exasperated by the sheer numbers travelling that weekend, coupled with new border system we all now have to go through.

But he caused the delays due to passport control by voting conservative

It was possible to vote brexit and have no new border controls if you had voted Labour because they wanted to stay in / or in a customs union (I know) and allow freedom of movement

The only deflection is blaming Brexit rather than himself for the hard 2019 Tory brexit he voted for

Small town literally got exactly what he voted for
I didn't vote for brexit. Shame you have to lie about people

I love this reasoning. Extra border checks because of brexit aren't the fault of brexit. You sound like a brainwashed cult. I guess it's the Trumpian world we live in. You people can just flat out lie and think it's the truth. So sad

I think maybe your belief in brexit is lack of comprehension. If that's what you understood about my post. I know people get peters for calling brexitists dumb but you don't make it easy with comments like that!

Amongst others on this board who did exactly the same

That's the thing isn't it? The brexitists KNOW it's a failure. And they KNOW they have no defence for continuing to support this failure. Instead of having the decency to admit this or discuss it in an audit way they all just pile in to me because it's easier that way. Way do something as embarrassing as admit you're wrong when you can just find someone to constantly insult and ignore the problem? It's very poor behaviour. It's sad that people get personal at the best of times. It's utterly craven that they all pile on because they don't have the common decency to admit they are wrong.

Denial. I guess even if you lose your job site to brexit you'll blame something else. I almost pity you if you REALLY don't got how bad it is
I know Brexit is a disaster
Why are there no queues??
brexit caused the queues 2 weeks ago now they’ve gone.
im just curious

feel free to point me in the direction of where I said brexit was a good thing before explaining why there is no longer any queues
I’ll wait 😉👍🏻
You defend it all the time you nutter!

Oh unless you just like to join in when people pile on me? That makes you even worse than a Brexitist

My son was due to fly to Peru on Friday,he missed the connection in Frankfurt due to queue in Manchester departure. No seats to Cusco yesterday so has flown to Paris where they "maybe" seats available to Cusco on Tuesday....or may have to fly to USA and get further connection from Lima... thinking of binning it off and spending two weeks in Spain.
International travel is dead and will be the privilege of the rich, enjoy while you can.....or not in my son's case.

Its not dead. They cant recruit enough staff to do the heavy lifting and low paid jobs which is creating pressure on existing staff who are struggling to cope.

Smalltown - Both you and I agree that Brexit’s caused problems and that there was an element which played a part in the delays at Dover. The main problem was the sheer volume of holiday makers trying to get through - something you agreed to when you asked if I knew that the French all took their holidays in July/August that caused their infrastructure to fail.
