I've just spoke to James Coppinger and its an error at their end.

He has a Teams call with the ticket office at 11, so maybe try again at 11:30.

Do phone them up. I was able to buy a ticket successfully.

Tried a number of times with the 2 different stored cards on Wednesday.
Payment just wouldn't load.
Tried again the next morning and it worked first time.
