Donald Trump...

I see he’s throwing Rubio under the bus for the gang deportations as well
The White House now suggesting that when he denied signing it into force he was clearly talking about the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.

I am glad that’s cleared up that obvious confusion I am sure everyone thought he had used a time machine to go back 227 years ago to sign the original piece of legislation into force.

Some talk that the USA are trying to get some of the people deported back as they are now starting to think they may have acted too quickly.

No doubt, if that is the case some other scapegoat(s) will be found, in fact I don’t think DT has ever met Rubio ( little Marco) more than once. He can bite the bullet, he once wasn’t totally enamoured of the great DT so he deserves all he gets.

The court hearing next week will be very interesting with the DOJ possibly claiming they can’t disclose times when flights took off in the interests of national security. Some of their lawyers are in real danger of professional sanctions.

A few months ago Pollievere was a shoe in on a landslide. Thanks to Trump it is now 50-50 who wins here.

After signing executive orders that penalised law firms that had gone against him, or helped his opponents in the past, Trump is now trying to intimidate any firms that might try to oppose him in the future.

A White House memo issued late Friday night orders Attorney General Pam Bondi and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi L. Noem to pursue ethics challenges against lawyers who they accuse of bringing meritless cases.

And when they talk about pursuing action against lawyers that bring "meritless cases", what they really mean is any that try to mount legal challenges against his actions or policies.

New Trump memo seen as threat to lawyers, attempt to scare off lawsuits

Unless something happens to stop this and the rest of Trump's assault on the rule of law the US will be a full-on fascist state before this year is out but I suspect his backers will already have a Night of the Long Knives prepared, to forestall any attempts to stop them.

Some lawyers won’t give into him Mark Alias for one. Trump said he “ is a very bad individual” if I was him I would be proud to have that description applied to me by perhaps one of the biggest criminals in the post WW2 world.

The judges hopefully stand up to him.

I hope he hasn’t seen the Pelican Brief, it may give him ideas. He certainly won’t have read it.

I doubt it's been shown on Fox News.

But Hilary's emails and all that.
The fact they've gone against protocol doesn't surprise me, nor does the fact they've added the editor of the Atlantic to be honest. The whole party is a crashing clown car.
What does bother me though is the disdain of Europe and their willingness to make us pay. If you ever needed proof that they are more aligned with Putin than anyone then there it is.

What is it with Trump thinking he can just own everything he takes a fancy to, no matter what or where it is?

He's like a two year-old kid that sees something they like and just goes, "Mine, mine, mine, mine, mine."

He wants to own Gaza, he wants to own Greenland, the Panama Canal, Canada.

The latest thing now, is he apparently wants to own the power plants in Ukraine.

Trump added that "American ownership of those plants could be the best protection for that infrastructure."

And the response, despite admissions that it has happened, was also to deny it.

Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth just spoke with reporters in Hawaii about the messages published in The Atlantic's article.

He mostly deflected questions from reporters, saying Goldberg was not a serious journalist and claiming that he "peddles garbage".

"So you're talking about a deceitful and highly discredited, so-called journalist," he alleged.

He then praised the military operation, saying, "We will ultimately decimate the Houthis".

Pressed again on the group chat, Hegseth deflected.

"Nobody was texting war plans and that's all I have to say about that," he said.

What's frustrating about the leak and isn't been highlighted by the media is the disdain they are showing towards Europe and how they want to make them pay for the US actions by, I presume, charging them for safe passage of cargo ships.
If the yanks think it’s our responsibility to ensure American company products are shipped safely to Europe…..then just stop buying American goods.

It is surely now beyond doubt that the USA is a rogue fascist state intent on acquiring lebensraum, since it would seem already having a state the size of half a continent is not enough for them.
