Does Djed Spence have a brain

Consistently makes the wrong choice time and time again, has he managed to get past a man while retaining the ball yet today?

Alternatively relying on a young lad playing full back having only made a handful of appearances in his career to provide the creativity possibly isnt the best idea?

Probably wouldn't have been playing last night if D!ck Steel was fit. He's young and will have bad games and last night he wasn't the worst defender on the pitch. Sadly, last night coincided with terrible performances from Fry and Bola and below par from McNair, when you add in Bettenelli's "nearly saves" it was not a good night for our defence.

I like the lad, he's still learning but I think that with a fuller squad he would probably have been rested last night. And yet he was OK in the first half.

Still very much developing the defensive side of his game. Warnock might very well be the making of him.

Today? Try "in his career".

He either:
- runs the ball straight into the defender's legs
- does too many step overs and gets dispossessed
- turns backwards and passes it to someone behind him and destroys the momentum of the attack
- crosses/passes it aimlessly straight to the nearest defender

But not once, never once, does he just put his foot through a cross and deliver it at head height into the penalty area.
Absolutely infuriating.

How about the lead up to the 2nd goal against Derby where he beat two men before setting up Tav. Plenty of other examples out there. He's got a lot to learn in the game, no doubt about it, but lets not right him off yet. Just look at Bola and Djiksteel this season. Ply of time for him to improve
