I mean, I know he does but I'd really like to see his stats. My impression is that almost anything on target ends up as a goal. I think he is a very, very poor keeper.
Saw something last week that showed him as the second worst in the league for saving shots on target. TBH I was staggered that there was someone worse in the league. Might be harsh but despite him striking it well that second goal on Saturday should have been a fairly routine save. Straight at him
His distribution is awful.I posted on saturday after the match that he may as well have no hands.
I've lost count of the goals that simply go straight through him and he doesn't get down to anything.
He flaps on crosses and simply doesn't know where he is in his own box.
He is a talker and can kick pretty well, but I want my goalkeeper to make saves and command his 6 yard box.
I'd agree, think he made a half decent save against Brentford (might have been the one that led to their goal though) but I'm yet to walk away from a game thinking we were saved by the keeper which we have done with pretty much every other keeper (Steele & Turnbull excepted maybe).
He is our biggest weakness, which given our lack of goals is saying something. Although he is a big lad and looks very commanding he is hopeless dealing with shots that are low to his side. It takes him an age to get down. It does me too, but I'm 64 years old. His incessant old school launching of the ball in to the stratosphere every time, even when there's a little 5 yard ball on to an unmarked defender, is also very unhelpful. Stops us building possession and rhythm and makes everything a scrap.I mean, I know he does but I'd really like to see his stats. My impression is that almost anything on target ends up as a goal. Completely agree - a good strike but he seemed to dive under itWent down like a deck of cards looking for a foul on the 1st one. He's about the the same height as Nick Pope, he should be coming & taking corners especially given that the goalie's nearly always get the benefit of the doubt, the guy blocking him should have been skittles. If Warnock's issue with Pears was his lack of height/command at set pieces, then this big turd is no better & Pears like his Father was an infinitely better shot stopper. Isn't Blackwell an ex Keeper, what do they see in Betinelli apart from he can kick it a fair distance?
I don’t even think he’s that good as poor as guzan was and he was hopeless.I mean, I know he does but I'd really like to see his stats. My impression is that almost anything on target ends up as a goal. I think he is a very, very poor keeper.
