I can't see how any neutral can want such a spoiling cheating side as Newcastle who engineer games to have the lowest ball in play percentage in the Premier league to win. Newcastle aren't the entertainers but the spoilers for the sake of positive football they deserve to lose

I must admit that the flags and bunting up everywhere this week has awakened a real nostalgia for all those finals we got to in my formative years.

There is a real sense of excitement amongst them and I think that despite the ridiculously melodramatic "Ashley is killing our club" sentiments over the past few years, this is what they were truly missing. Just having a go at something. We had that malaise prior to Karanka getting us promoted.

If they win, then fine, but I think that Ten Hag has Man Utd playing their best football in years and that even if Pope was playing, they'd be up against it and won't be able to park the bus to avoid defeat like they did against Arsenal.

Can I remind anyone wanting Newcastle to win of the regional news following Boros promotion under Lennie Lawrence which was essentially 20 minutes of Keegans heroes avoiding relegation and 20 seconds of by the way Middlesbrough promoted to the Premier league and now the weather!

Not a chance - but, you have to look at the positives .. if they do manage it, the North East will push for a local Bank Holiday weekend next week so that all football fans in the region can celebrate their victory with street parties and blanket coverage on local TV showing goals going back to "Wor Jackies" in the 1955 cup final to Joelinton shinning the winner for the awoken Sleeping Giant in '23!
