Does anybody still smoke?

I vape, jacked in real cigs around 2 years ago....tbh I still miss a 'real' one every now and again.

I do like a posh cigar occasionally, in the back garden with a nice glass of single malt on a warm summers night!....just as a little treat.

Not when sober. I used to smoke when I was a teenager, usually when flyfishing, or having a beer. but over the years it's got less and less. Will still occasionally have one if I've gone out for a few beers but very very rarely, maybe twice a year. Last time I had one sober it made me feel ill which isn't a bad thing at all.

Smoked for 30 odd years - thoroughly enjoyed it but jacked it in 7 years ago with no hassle (and no patches, vapes, acupuncture, hypnosis or anything else) and don't miss it at all
,
Don't begrudge anybody who still wants to though, as long as it's done with consideration for others

I don't think I know a single person who smokes, including friends, family, colleagues and neighbours. It's still very common elsewhere in Europe, we must have one of the lowest rates in the world i would've thought?

From what I can see, there's noticeably and dramatically fewer people smoking here in Spain (well, I can only speak for the Malaga area) over the last couple of years - and especially amongst the young - it seems to be just a few older people that are still inhaling.

Also, they've banned smoking here if you're within 2 metres of anyone else, so consequently there's now no smoking outside bars or restaurants and no ashtrays on the tables, which is surreal

My parents both smoked. We lived in a small council house but it was only after I'd left home did I appreciate what a disgusting stench smoking created. After I'd visited them, on returning home I'd need to put all my clothes in the wash and take a shower.

Only when drinking, usually after the 3rd drink. Can take it or leave it. Wouldn't go stand out in the rain to have one.

Sometimes have the odd one if i get stresses or get bad news etc.

Probably smoke around 20 cigs a month on average.

Remember getting on th 73 United bus from Marske to Grangetown to visit Nana. Me Mam and Dad rushed upstairs to light up their Capstan full strength, worst half hour ever felt sick by the time we got to Redcar. Then had to go through it again on the way back.
Man and Dad gave up after Dad nearly burnt the house down. A ciggy fell out an ash tray after he went to bed. When we got up in the middle of the night there was zero visibility in the house and we had a lucky escape. They never touched one again and I never even had a drag of one.
Can you imagine ash trays in your house now?

I'm partial to a nice cuban cigar now and again, by now and again I'm probably talking every few months or so. Appears less and less people are smoking cigarettes now.

I'm into my last few days of 6 weeks in rehab and 99% of the people in here smoke or vape like chimneys. I'veentioned it loads that they talk about us addicts and we need to stop booze, benzos, heroin, coke, etc etc but people are twitch for a smoke during sessions. They need to sort smoking out as well as I know some hae actually started smoking while in here.. Madness.. I used to smoke 7 plus years ago and hated it

I started in about 1975 and packed in about ten or eleven years later. I smoked cigarettes and also cannabis but when I knocked the fags on the head I didn't touch cannabis for about seven years because I couldn't trust myself with the taste of tobacco in a joint, it's just too seductive.

It’s sad what tobacco companies did to this earth and they’re still going strong in places like the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Millions died before and millions will die after. So unfortunate and so unnecessary.
