Does anyone have a point graph of wilder time here before and after the Burnley speculation.

As I think it would be quite telling.

We were already dropping off before then.

Before we snuck a draw against Bournemouth and he gave that car crash interview at the end of the match, we'd lost 5 of the previous 10 matches.

Yes good point but there def seems to have been a moment when the positive upward progression stopped snd the decline set in.

The first time I noticed a really poor result under Wilder was at Bristol City where we lost 2-1 and it was an awful strangely lethargic performance. We bounced back by beating West Brom but then went and lost at Barnsley badly. The next away game we were stuffed at Sheff U. I think the teams confidence had by that time started to wain and Crooks had started to look ineffective.

We were good at home and had a feeling of invincibility. Our confidence and away teams caution meant we were getting good results. Then Chelsea reminded us we weren't invincible and we were a long way from being as good as we thought we were. Since then we've been mostly dreadful.

This. It was nice to have the publicity and the cash but we could have done without the Chelsea tie, and also the slanging match that went with it, imo

Chelsea is a good point as that did feel like a watershed moment again around the same time.

I think though we all agree there does seem to have been a turning point when the upward curve changed.

But in answer to the original question:

Pre-Burnley saga - 40 points from a possible 69, 12 wins from 23 games, 1.73 ppg, which was decent.

Since those links - 18 points from a possible 51, 4 wins in 17 games, 1.06 ppg, which is dire.
Thanks I thought it would be significant but that is quite startling isn’t it.

Almost like a switch was thrown.

And really the 3 pts v Sunderland is the key to that number being over 1 so had we lost that ( it’s a derby form tactics etc go out the window) it would be less that 1 ppt which is shameful really.

Just on this season, it's 0.91 points per game.

He's surely running out of time, needs to turn things around quickly or he'll be gone.

Warnock was sacked with us on 22 points from 17 games, we'd need to win 4 of our next 6 to even equal that tally, this is a really dreadful start to the season.

They arent really significant. I had the same hypothesis as you last season and so counted the points. There wasn't any significant impact on points per game. The hit to points per game comes from the matches this season. Ergo it was not Burnley.

Maybe not but something has definitely changed.
