Do you think this shirt backlash will result in an official statement ?….

I assume not and they will be very defensive but it’s pretty much unanimous across all social media platforms just how let down the fans feel and how bad the shirts are …..

…. Do you think this might pressure the club to have to say something …. Be it defending them or dare I say jt , acknowledging the design issues and their reasons for the choices picked ?

Ot will they say nowt knowing there are still people who will buy them in droves regardless ?

Nah, they've badly messed up, but addressing it won't change anything, they're the shirts we're wearing this season, and it would only make it more difficult for the club to sell them by acknowledging how unpopular they are.

Be interesting to see how many are in the ground for the first game. That will be the statement.

No.

Our club makes decisions and sticks by them no matter what. There might be some excuses down the line how we’ve been massively let down by Castore. I like many other fans did not trust the club to make the right call. This is what we do.

The big win will be how much we’ve saved, how little money we’ve put out and how profitable the shirts have been. if we didn’t sell shyt shirts we wouldn’t have been able to buy x,y, z and we wouldn’t be competitive. Football is expensive.. we spent all our money on redesigning the badge. Etc etc etc

Poor excecution.

I mean I would buy one but I don't really know when you are supposed to wear a football shirt. I don't wear colours at away games. Don't play football. Maybes I could wear it to the gym.

We’re a football club not a fashion house, it’s been quite pathetic this “backlash”, to be perfectly honest
Give over Kev. It's the 150th anniversary of the club and it looks the sh! ts. It's another missed opportunity.

If you want to be direct about it, it's also a commercial mistake that will see reduced income for the club.

Im the first to say when fans are entitled (there's a lot of them) but it's not unreasonable to expect to see such an anniversary have some thought go into it

Make the suggestion then. Never buy one for myself but I do get one for the lad. Not a chance I'll be spending 60 quid on something that looks like a bargain bin.

Leeds fans didn’t take to this..

Pathetic isn’t the response to shyt shirts that don’t even look like boro shirts. It’s not just boro fans saying it btw. Is everyone who sees them pathetic? It’s not even that I don’t like them or they are not my style.. they are fcuking dreadful!

I wouldn’t have sent my kids to school in odd socks.. is that pathetic? or is it just having a basic standard. It’s fcking amateur hour.. bodged kits with nothing matching. We’ll look like a right clip. This hasn’t been a smash and grab btw.. professionals have spent time putting this lot together. It’s shyte.

They will sell out, don’t worry about that.
I think they look okay, but oven if I thought they were stinking I doubt I’d spontaneously combust over it

Our football players should be wearing them when they play. How about that? In the stadiums fans will still be able to see them. Televised games and streams across the world.. that is what everyone will see.

I seem to recall a bigger backlash against the 2016/17 white cummerbund shirt we wore for our rare foray into the top flight.

If anything, the club will probably try to appease fans by bringing out a 5th & 6th choice kit.

Roll up, suckers!

What you mean the same dozen people whinging on half a dozen seperate threads. Club made their choice and they are not forcing people to buy them. If you do6 like them don't buy them.

It makes no difference to the club. The shirts are awful, but those who want the latest shirt won’t just boycott it because it looks bad
Expect the sale numbers will mainly depend on how we are on the pitch instead of how good/bad it looks
