Do you listen to music your parents listen/listened to?

Yes, grew up listening to a lot of rock that my dad would always be playing.

AC/DC, Guns n Roses, Whitesnake, Journey etc.

And my mam loved her motown and soul music, which I also love too.

Been to a few gigs with my dad now and they are great memories.

My mam was into Motown. Its okay. Not something I'd choose to listen to now, but I wouldn't switch it off if it was on the radio. My dad didn't care for music.

Yes, sill listen to most of my mams music, Nat King Cole, Perry Como, Glenn Miller, Slim Whitman, Eddie Fisher & from my dad, Dean Martin, wont entertain my dads love of James Last mind

I don't think my dad even knew what music was, my mum had a terrible taste in music. Bob Dylan and that was it! cretins, both of them

I'm100% with Harry, probably for similar reasons, to the extent that "John Henry" would be one of my Inheritance Tracks should Radio 4 ever call.

Not on your nellie !! Absolutely dreadful idea

I'm not listening to Alma Cogan and Vera Lynn nor am I hanging out the washing on the Siegfried line

Dad and I both like rock guitar music, but the similarities end there. I will listen to things like Muse, Suede and Oasis. He listens to Meatloaf and Dire Straits which I can't abide.

The main album I'm a fan of that my dad had is Quadrophenia - The Who, he had the gatefold sleeve with the booklet which I'd look through while listening to it. He had decent (ish) taste_ Stones, Beatles, Roxy Music, Clapton, Dylan, Faces, didn't like Zeppelin or Pink Floyd though. He ended up borrowing my vinyl and taping loads onto cassette - Cure, Bunnymen, Cult, Mission, Simple Minds in the late 80's/early 90's.

I still listen to Buddy Holly and occasionally Elvis and Bill Haley..

My daughter gets Love and the Stone Roses from me...

Dad wasn’t into music at all, but my mam was mad on Jim Reeves, and Frank Sinatra to a lesser extent.
I love listening to Sinatra, Only The Lonely is one of my favourite albums.
Listen to Jim Reeves occasionally.
