Do you feel the Riverside is looking a little tired these days?

Sporting Lisbon from memory had different coloured seats or fans painted on them to make the ground look full.

you can have boro brick, what about having a personalised seat with your face on it!

You can / could have a personalized seat.

When selling 3 year tickets (they don't do them anymore) they gave you the chance to get a plaque on your seat, although they were pretty prescriptive about the messages you could have on them, and wouldn't let my mate have "The Lizards Jumpers (but real nickname obviously) is a knobsock" - even had a meeting about it within the club apparently....

There are settlement cracks in the blockwork in the concourse under the West Stand. As it will all be on concrete slab it looks like some fill wasn't compacted as much as the rest.

The stadium is basically in the middle of an industrial wasteland, and very little has been done to improve the immediate surrounding areas in the last 25 years. I appreciate that money can be spent better elsewhere, but I always think that the impression visiting fans get won’t do much to address the negative image they might have of the town.
but does a negative image from visitng fans actually matter?

Good to know that, I’ve noticed these in the past and wondered how people got their names on the seat. Are the names removed if the SC is given up ?

Wasn’t there a plan, when we got promoted, to ‘revamp’ the ground, which included changing the seats?

I’ve spoken previously on here about revamping the surrounding area around the ground, but I imagine it will take some compromise with the council over a few things.

Agree about painting it red.

The problem is, because Newy's idea is on here, Gibson won't action it because it will just look too obvious that he spends his days reading fmttm whilst pretending to be important.

Ha
Other pressure washers are available..........

Don't want Rob to get into trouble for breaching advertising rules for product placement.

😉
Have you seen the amount of adverts on here already? What's one more going to harm?

😏

On topic though a lick of paint would do wonders for the place.

Could you get "boo boo boo" written on your seat.

If it wasn't for the fact some of my life's best memories had taken place at the Riverside, I would think it's a bit of a dump tbh.

Has a few nice unique touches like the Ayresome Park gates, statues etc but the actual stadium itself isn't the best.
