Do many other posters ‘ignore’ people on here?

I wonder how
@afcb_acklam isn't. And I don't think @Brian Marwood is either.
At the height of this boards popularity we had a large number of supporters from other clubs and all contributed to making it a good forum. I met up with one or two at away games, which improved my experience.

Similar as today, all topics got covered and you could get support and help on anything. I do feel the latter part is still in place.

The online live chat room was great on match days.

how did that work out Norman ?
with the amount of regular posters on here I’d be surprised if it kept up with itself .
great idea having one though 👍🏻

I wish there was an option to mute threads. There is one long running one I’m sick of seeing.

I'd have far fewer people on ignore if there was.

The annoying thing is that it's a definitely an option on this forum's software, as I'm on other forums of the same type where "Ignore" is an option at the top of threads.

There's a screenshot from one of them.

I've asked about it being introduced multiple times, but ironically have just been ignored and received no response.

I think one of the big factors with this place is (I assume) most of us don’t know each other. So it can be easier to go in two footed on someone who posts something you take issue with that you’re unlikely to meet.
The board isn't as busy as it used to be so I think it's a bit different now. When we had the organised football on here at Southlands lots of people ended up meeting through that.

I would think I've easily met over 1,000 users over the years.

It worked really well, similar to how you reply on live YouTube feeds. There might be several conversations going at once, you just looked at the replies from your conversation. Every now and again a divvy would turn up but if memory serves me well, they could be put out and blocked from the chat room.

There was even the opportunity to have private live chat.

There was a couple of southern based mackems (SW19), Blondie and her mate from Derby, a Geordie lad who was always willing to help and support and many more names I can’t remember. It was a proper football community.

Kept me in touch when I first went to the States. Used to correspond with an (ex) submariner who lived in Florida.

I have one or two on mine and its much better than wasting time reading their nonsense.

I don't mind an alternative view, it's not about that, it's about the spammers that are continually on the wind up.

Nedkat. He had a serious illness and was last on here during his recovery. I don't think he's been on since.
I was thinking of Nedkat the other day as one of my mates now works on the subs. I wondered if he had been on here recently as I knew he had been poorly.

Oh dear, I hope not.
I vaguely remember something that I thought was about him on here a while ago. Possibly from a relative.

Edit - must have been someone else:
