DJs & karaokes are back I see

Live music has been allowed since 15th August within the guidelines produced by the gov.

I'd imagine the majority of pubs/clubs ( I mean non specialist music venues) don't even have an understanding of the rules let alone are following them properly.

One element of the guidance says that music should not be so loud that people have to shout or stand close together to communicate.

" When members of the public are attending performances, organisers should ensure that steps are taken to avoid audiences needing to unduly raise their voices to each other, such as shouting, chanting and singing along. This is because increased volume can increase aerosol transmission. "

I was away for a couple of nights last week, the pubs had jukeboxes on but the volume set low for that purpose. It's why I was surprised reading the adverts for DJs and karaokes.

My local club has had live music on in the garden for a few weeks now, managed to get to two of the sessions and it's a great afternoon. On again today but I'm off to the match.
