Djed Spence today

Went to the City Ground today. Must admit I couldn’t get away from the TV and the end of the Boro match fast enough. Djed Spence got Man of the Match for Forest. Lots of positive comments from the Forest fans as well. But not right for us at the moment, apparently. As the late great Greavsie used to say “ Its a funny old game”.

Only the dinosaur didn’t rate him

Whilst we play lee Pelter at full back who surprisingly has a shocker

Again who could have predicted this

Probably flattered to deceive again.

Best player in a 1-1, without any involvement whatsoever in either goal, with their goal being one of their only shots on target.

Not trying to slate him if he was actually their man of the match, but he was getting smoke blown up his **** here too when he wasn't actually playing well.

I think its easy, but nevertheless legitimate, to compare Peltier to Spence, but the former was brought in as third choice Rb and makeshift CB, probably on a very modest contract and I'm not sure Spence would have settled for a bit-part role at this stage of his career.

Hopefully the summer sees him given a new start and fresh from a good season at Forest, because it seems unlikely that NW will still be here.

Spence is a real talent we would of probaly won today if he was in the side over the slow ball watching peltier who was exposed time and time again today

different players , cannot compare spence with Peltier.... spence operates in a Back 3 with WBs .... Peltier is a back 4 defensive player.... Spence is not a FB

I don't think many doubt Djeds ability .. it's his application where the problem seems to lie. He's gone to a new job (albeit a temp job) and will be putting the effort in like everybody else would in a new job .. it's whether he's still doing it 6 months down the line when his feet are firmly under tha table and he's "comfortable"

How many players, over the last 12 months, have not divided opinion? I can think of Uche and Jones, but they are not safe yet.

Peltier probably on more than Spence.
