Djed Spence return

If this were to be true, which I doubt. All the rhetoric from KS about signing permanent players and building as opposed to temporary loans and rebuilds every window would be, as expected BS.

After his December press assault, his words are looking hollow. Could it be yet again, after much bluster, we aren’t all on the same page within the club. For the umpteenth time.

The club’s strategy is sell assets, let contracts lapse and loan in to fill gaps. It has been for years now. Nothing has changed since KS arrived. Can’t see him being here much longer.

So you doubt it's true, but you're still going to use it as a stick to beat Scott with?

How dare he do this thing he clearly isn't doing

If only for the fact his signing would mean Jones would never see a match day squad again it’s a yes for me. And to think soo many of the deluded on here based their footballing nous and reputation on a ‘Jones is better than Spence’ campaign. Oh dear

Who has he brought in?
Riley McGree?
Balogun, Connolly?

Muniz? (was sorted before hand)
Steffen
Giles
Lenihan
Clarke
Forss
Hoppe

Not a bad return imo
( got decent money in for Spence too)

Jones is miles better than Spence. Would rather have Jones over Spence at RWB where Jones is out of position really and Spence is in his natural role, and obviously Jones is far superior at RW.

Spence has burned down his bridges with Boro - he was hardly consistent , and wasn't good enough to get in the side due to his mentality,
especially in the defensive phase - you can't play him in a back 4 end of, which is what Carrick appears to heavily favour and has alluded
to his preference of the back 4 in interviews

His ability in terms of athleticism and technique was never in question for me, he has all the tools, but you do sense he just
isn't up for the fight as a defender, probably why he suits playing as the wingback where he has more licence to attack as he
is better in that phase than he is as a defender, that's his problem, at Prem level he needs first and foremost to understand
his role in the team, not his personal role
