Djed Spence getting the plaudits

Is anyone shocked ??

thr only person who doesn’t rate him seems to be our manager.
Haha love how this sort of thing gets thrown at the manager when things aren’t going great. Since initially breaking through, he’s had loads of chances for us and has been a liability defensively and not offered much going forward.

It was clear to anyone with half a brain that a loan move was the right thing for all parties.

There does seem to be a bit of history whitewashing going on! Warnocks biggest fans a few months ago now knew he was always wrong for the club and Spence is Cafu reborn despite getting pelters on here weekly.

Who’s throwing anything loaning our right sided defender winger who has played ( let’s not forget) in our opening games to a league rival is madness.

no player no money and you boost a rival.

where’s the logic in that

He'll get experience playing every week, which he wouldn't have had here. Do you really think he'd have got in ahead of Dijksteel or Pelfltier at right back, or in front of Hernandes or Tav at right wing?

Coulson was more likely to play because he was being kept as our only back up left back. But he wanted to go and play regularly.

But what did we gain by getting rid of him what was the positive in that.

are they stronger - yes

mare we weaker - yes

so where’s the positive.

What are you talking about he was PLAYING here or was that a hogram
We played v Bristol and QPR.

and hed have got a game yesterday at least from the badge.
I presume you only read the line you quoted and ignored all of the context around it. He played in those games as Tav was injured and Hernandes hadn't signed yet. Once Tav was back and Hernandes was signed he was going to be third choice, possibly even fourth behind Olusonya at RW, and third choice behind Dijksteel and Peltier at RB.

He was going to struggle to get a regular place in the side and didn't want to count on freak injuries to get a run out.

Under this manager he was.

he’s out because warnock doesn’t like him it’s that simple
He's out because he apparently has attitude problems and because he doesn't have a great footballing brain. It's why Fulham let him go, it's why Woodgate dropped him and it's why Warnock keeps saying he needs to improve what's in between his ears if he wants a career at the top level.

He has everything physically, he's quick, strong and solid technically. But he loses concentration, doesn't always seem aware of what's going on around him and regularly gets drawn out of position. He has the potential to go up to the Premier League or fall into the Northern League. Anyone who has watched him regularly can see that.

Exactly this. Also, reading between the lines, he was begging for a move to get regular first team football.

Yes he may have started a couple of games early season. But that was due to Tav, Watmore and Ameobi being out. We’ve since strengthened with a further two players who will play wide right before him. Realistically, he’d have struggled to get off the bench.

Which isn't a bad thing. If he does well there then worst thing that happens is we get a bigger transfer fee when he leaves, best case scenario he comes back a better player and earns himself a spot in the first team. Was rarely going to play this season anyway, so this is going to be a win-win for us either way.

He showed promise when he first came into the side under Woodgate, but has regressed, that is a couple of years ago. He has been awful for a very long time now.
He is currently hopeless defensively and has absolutely no end product further forward. He very rarely takes on a full back, even more rarely beats one if he does and his decision making and delivery is shocking even then. I think he is either absolutely gormless and incapable of learning, or really does think he is far far better than he actually is.

The problem is not letting Spence leave on loan, it was not bringing in adequate left back cover and a left sided centre back.
Warnock likes Dijksteel at right back, trusts Peltier as his right back cover and still has Darnell Fisher on his payroll.
Does anybody really think Djed Spence would be a great right wing option?

If Spence does well for Forest and takes on board coaching, then we have a better player, or we get a bigger fee when selling.
If he doesn't then we have lost nothing as he wouldn't play for us and we have saved his wage at least.

While we will likely end up with Peltier at RB whilst Dijksteel is injured, leaving no one to cover LB. This club is beyond amateur
