Monk & Pulis failed by £50m of transfers!
Wilder failed himself. He slagged the recruitment of which he was part of, slagged off players he would need to rely on and he even had a pop at the fans.. all before holding his hands up at admitting his mistakes!

He said he hasn’t happy with the recruitment, he said he was disappointed, he said £6m of strikers were non starters/development players. He said Dijksteel would be his first choice, Fry wouldn’t be his first choice, Bola wouldn’t, Howson wouldn’t..We agree to differ.

How is it the clubs fault?
Last season, with none of the players that he wanted Wilder nearly got us into the playoffs and we were playing some great football. We only lost one player who he probably wanted to keep hold of (Tav) and after buying in 10 or so players (which is a hell of a lot, no matter how you look at it) and having the whole of the preseason to teach them the tactics and way he wanted us to play, we are deservedly in the relegation zone.
Our defense has looked petrified whenever we are put under any pressure at all - and a lot of our defense are the same who looked solid and assured previously.

It's hard for players to thrive at a club when asked to play a formation no longer suitable that the manager won't change.

The squad isn't "pants" - it's a very good Championship squad that should be capable of pushing for the playoffs as the absolute minimum - I'm with you on your second part though - Wilder brought this on himself
