Robson wouldnt have any pull these days the current england world cup squad barely knew who the euro 96 squad was. Barring fodens token cum head.

I don’t think any of the current coaching team will be here after NW has got us up, it’ll be his last hurrah and he’ll ride off into the sunset on a high. The other guys will be well thanked for their efforts and the club will head off in it’s perceived new direction of DoF / head coach combo.
 
There’s absolutely no chance it’s a former player. it’ll be some no mark we’ve never heard of. Maybe someone that’s actually qualified to do the job!!

We were after that fella from Norwich according to the press, but it all went quiet.

I am not a fan of going in that direction, I fear it is just another mechanism for interference or control from above. I would prefer a CEO In control like a Kenyon or Levy type.

However, if it were to go that way and the rumours on Oneboro (no idea if true) suggest it to be an ex foreign player from the Robson era. Our sudden interest in South Americans is interesting and I briefly wondered about Juninho with Doriva as manager, it is all pure speculation though. Might never happen, might be complete rubbish, we’ll see
 
Mikkel Beck is/was a player agent, which would certainly give him the contacts you might want for a DoF. Ziege has done some managing but it's lower level stuff, nothing that would suggest he could be a Director of Football. Juninho is an obvious choice I suppose, especially if the idea is to tap into the South American market, and we've clearly been talking to him already anyway. Brian Deane has done some coaching and owns a club somewhere I think, but I can't see it being him. Karembeu has done something like a DoF I think but it might be wrong.

Kieran Scott seems to be strongly linked / agreed as sporting director (DoF) according to various sources today……saying all agreed 🤷🏻‍♂️
