Dieng to feet

The only upgrade on last season it seemed to me. i was pleased for him, he was assured, lets hope he can keep it up, the high line he keeps might get nervy on occasion some supporters near me were getting twitchy, it was funny to listen to, but they’ll see the benefits in time.

Thought he did well getting through the crowd for one of their corners in the second half to come out and get the ball. As much as I liked Steffen that wasn’t a great part of his game.

Always felt comfortable when he had the ball, unlike Steffen last year who was always liable to the odd mistake. It’s Barlaser in that role now!

He’s better than Steffen. Didn’t make me nervous once.
He doesn't hold it as long as Steffen did. Steffen may have made you nervous but he was a big part of how we played and drawing the opposition striker(s) on is an important part of how we try to play. I suspect that Carrick will want to see him holding it a little longer so prepare to have your nerves shredded again!

He just looks more switched on than Steffen did, also looks more commanding of his area. I was most nervous about Steffen when the ball came into the box from wide. He never really seemed to command it.
