Who had or built a Tracker? Cut up a coke can to make the cowhorns fit the stem?

Made three lof them, loved them!Painted them with left over sprey car paint belonging to dad.
All three stolen from the back yard,never forgave the people of Middlesbrough for that.
My dad never forgave me for nicking his paint.

Loved those top-pulls, even if they were a bit squiggy.
Had a habit of losing the pump so used a "laggy" band to keep it on the frame

Cow horn handlebars and lose the mudguards basically,some also dropped the front brake,they were good for wheelying.AKA a rig up round our way. I’m surprised seventies kids lived past fifteen..

On our (council) estate big wheels were the way, 26/27” , knobbly tyres , forgot about lolly sticks in the spokes, what a racket,

man they were deadly if you borrowed your mates fix wheeler, you would keep on forgetting to pedal and be nearly fcked of the bike everytime used to hate them lol would regularly have only one break that only half worked at best on the Tracker!

When I came to the Poly, I bought a second-hand Falcon San Remo, with a 5 speed block and revo - shifters [No SIS in those days].
I went to watch a few of the National Sprint League events, but was sad at the way it was let go.

I remember a guy called Alan Burgess made all the kids in our street in Grangetown bikes. When it came to mine he had run out of seats. I had to stand up and pedal all the time.

My dad was working away from home and when he came home one weekend and seen me on it he took me to Criteria Cycles in South Bank to buy me a chopper bike.

The chopper was that heavy, I had to stand up and pedal.
