I have been in a reflective mood today and been thinking about lots of unconnected stuff.

Speaking to my wife and daughter just now about a holiday with no devices. My wife was up for it, my daughter not so much.

I can cheat, I have sat nav in the car so can go for a drive for a gps fix, he hee

Fine for a short break but any longer is difficult. We went to a lodge a couple of years much to my eldest daughters horror no phone signal and the wifi was also broken. She thought it was a form of child cruelty, when she got home she blamed it as a reason for her boyfriend at the time dumping her.

I want to be a yes vote but I’m ashamed to say, if I’m completely honest with myself, that I would actually probably be stressed without my phone. It’s the being in touch with friends and family thing, plus the access to music, football scores, ability to take photos etc

I had to have a word with myself this year and put my phone away on holiday. I was spending more time on here arguing with Smalltown than I was relaxing.
