Sorry I’d never want Leeds on a football pitch let alone watch their highlights even in defeat. Have I ever mentioned I hate them more than North Korea?

Proper football. Lots of Scottish players that we don't seem to see these days in modern football.

Football heyday, I was a starry eyed little lad who loved Boro and couldn’t stand Leeds … we played them at home a fortnight after this ( a goalless draw) . I have clear recollect of the incident between Francis Lee and Norman Hunter being referred to as a “punch up” on MOTD .. it was a term I’d never heard before ! Both of those teams (Derby and Leeds ) had some talent in those days … as the OP said , it had just about everything in a game form the highlights only era.
When Boro played Leeds just before covid hit ( Elland road in Leeds recent promotion season) , I was in hospitality at Elland road and met the great Norman Hunter in the suite named after him. Dirty beggers they may have been, but also good footballers - NH came across as a great bloke and a true legend of the game (66 squad too !) … he died within months of that meeting, glad I met him.
