Derby County - 9 point deduction (with a further 3 suspended)

I strongly suspect they're going in to administration because they don't think they're staying up anyway with the EFL punishment.

Take the hit now and wipe out the debts.

Administration doesn't really work to wipe out all the debts. All footballs related debts still have to be paid, if these can't then the club is insolvable.

They'll sell some of the few saleable players left and I'd guess Morris will pay off the rest of the debt before selling the club.

They're going down anyway, the way it's looking.

Up to 12 point deduction for going into administration.

The FFP deduction will be additional I expect. Guess they're trying to get it all done in one season now.

12 points for administration, 9 points for cheating and 3 points for failing to pay wages.

That's a 24 point deduction if things proceed as they should, administration shouldn't prevent them being punished.

Is that a 10 point deduction. Have to feel for their fans
A 'small club' like the Boro with a great tradition, we've been there & the bottom line is owners, managers, players come & go, its the fans who are left to suffer, sad day indeed

I think the way the governing body have dealt with this farce has been nothing short of disgraceful

You have to be gutted for the fans and the community though. The owners have destroyed that club. They deserve the punishment but there will be some decent Derby fans who will be distraught. Heart goes out to them.

Absolutely, knew a few decent Derby fans that I feel for, but their owner has reaped the whirlwind.

Obviously taking all the hit in one season. (assuming that they somehow manage to save the club). Personally think they shouldn't be allowed to do this. Make the cheating points deduction apply next season? Perhaps the EFL should announce that they will review the decision at the end of the season?

The only thing annoying me now is that it shouldn't be up to Gibson or anyone else to blow the whistle. And more than the fans of Derby, who with their attitude have burnt a lot of my sympathy, I feel for the fans of Wycombe relegated because of the ineptitude of the EFL.
