I would. I might not respond to some of your posts, but I always read them. You're right there are some absolute berks on here, but there are far more decent, nice people. This is the first time I've posted in a while as I felt I needed to take a break because of far more important things going on personally. Don't make your decision in haste, take note of the posters on here who are supportive of and for you.
At the end of the day, it's your decision obviously, but I hope you don't leave.
Erm no! Are you flouncing Mrs Slocombe? No way on my watch! There are so many positive posters than negative ones keep hanging on in there big week ahead!
It very much sounds like this is more than just a forum thing getting you down, please don’t do anything rash mate, take a break from the forum or delete it if you think that is a positive step but far more importantly use this time away as a positive first step and look for the next , I am not saying it’s easy but little steps combined can take you to a whole new place, having read through the messages I’ve found a lot of appreciation and respect for you, it’s the same in life sometimes it’s just hard to find though.

Unfortunately there’s a load of them in every walk of life, all across the country / planet.
A defeat always seems to bring out the worst in some people. Usernames popping up for the first time in months, hypocrites who want to get rid of the manager after one defeat. The topics end up getting unnecessarily heated at times.
Unless you’ve met some on here before, they’re just usernames and some keyboard warriors who think their anonymity affords them some extra doyle points.
I wouldn’t get rid completely mate, or let this place trigger other things that you have going on. It’s not worth it and the majority are behind you.
Have a little break if needs be. On here at least, it’ll all be sunshine and lollipops after 3 points on Saturday!

Various comments about blocking/ignoring idiots etc, but to be fair to those involved (if this is reference to the ASLEF thread), I didn't see any abuse, pile ons etc...just disagreement which, to be honest, is the lifeblood of the board.

The Ignore button was introduced for a reason. It works well. 99.9% of posters are great. It's always that .1%that brings you down.

I don’t see the abuse or nasty people that are mentioned here, on the thread mentioned above the most objectionable post is someone asking you how much you think a train driver earns, just forget about it and enjoy your day as best you can. Quite often you’re not that pleasant to other posters yourself.

Depression & message boards/forums are often a bad mix, see it with my wife all the time. Told her to stay off social media when she's having a low day many times but she never listens, it's like an addiction.
OP should take a few days off and not engage in topics likely to trigger them, but they won't.

Social media can be a harsh place if it you allow an argument with a complete stranger to bug you. It really isn’t worth it. We all have opinions and we have a right to say them but also others will disagree particularly when it’s a subject like employment rights which is I believe the case here. If you find it difficult to handle don’t get involved. Just isn’t worth it.

If you go against the grain on here with an opinion, you are going to get quoted and replies - that’s just a fact. You’ve got to be prepared for that I’m afraid it’s a message board.
Stay clear from any of the political threads if you’re not prepared to get into a debate and I imagine you’d enjoy this place a lot more.
