Dele Ali

Just no.

I don't know what is going on with him, but clearly this is not just a temporary bad patch of form, or a one-off club that the player does not settle into.

Avoid. Especially as anyone picking him up will have to pay huge wages.

Everything looks wrong.

Besiktas Head Coach Senol Gunes has banished Dele Alli from the first-team and does not plan to include him in any match-day squads for the rest of the season.

He’s been told he will watch from the stands until he returns to Everton.

Would you have him at boro? Sounds like he’s done at Everton. Feels a bit like crap management and depression.

The Double 10 with Akpom in a premier league Xmas tree?
Mate worked with him at Besiktas, said he was one of the nicest blokes he's ever met. Trained hard and had a great attitude but was played in the wrong position and when the new manager came in he just sidelined him. I think Carrick would make him into a player again, take him in a heartbeat.

Hmmm 🤔 the evidence suggests not.
What evidence? I can only go on what he said , had nothing but praise. He did say a couple of other things that maybe aren't right to put on here that may explain why he hasn't done so well of late.

I'd take him on loan with a view to a permeant.. he's out of contract next summer
Besiktas were gonna pay £8m should the loan have worked out.. Everton were paying £34k of his £100k wages
He's 7 games off Spurs having to pay Spurs another £10m
£66k over a season would be £3.3m.. I think that is a good gamble to take on a player who is still only 26yo and not too long ago was valued at £100m

Get the xmas tree out..

-----------Steffen----------
Aina--Fry-- Philips---Giles
McGree--Jashari--Ramsey
--------Alli--Akpom-------
-----------Archer----------

Zack Steffen - Man City - Loan
Ola Aina - Torino - Free
Ryan Giles - Wolves £3.5m
Nat Philips - Liverpool £8m
Ardon Jashari - Luzern £5.5m
Arron Ramsey - Villa - £7m
Delli Ali - Everton - Loan
Cameron Archer - Villa - £9m

£43m gone in the blink of an eye.. I think that looks decent for a newly promoted prem first string.

And

And this

a move up north, Carrick, Woodgate and Danksy on the case.. Chuba Akpom by his side.. suddenly the spark comes back.

I aint saying he hasn't got issues, its obvious he has, I am saying there's a reason behind it and that the right manager could bring back some of his obvious potential.
I don’t doubt that but not for us.

We don’t need any lost causes to Rock the boat.

I never rated him technically, he's not a central midfielder or a striker for a start, he's basically a 2nd striker who was good at finding pockets of space and finishing off chances

As an allround footballer you can understand if he doesn't run his **** into the ground how ineffective he would actually be, he was never that involved in games other than goal scoring

He was likely motivated by money and now he has it, has little left for paying football

Totally a mental issue of course, you don't get to that level of goalscoring and then just 'lose it' per se

Do players ever come back good after lengthy significant dips in form? Usually seems to be a combination of injuries knocking confidence, or simply being a striker that is signed by Chelsea. Joe Hart, Fernando Torres, Daniel Sturridge being the most notable in recent times. None of them got it back.
