Declan Rice- how over rated is this guy?

Said before that I think they'll have a sense of obligation to pick him after putting in so much effort to get him to swap national teams.
 
Phillips will take the position off him before long. And obviously Henderson to come back in aswell
 
I think after nearly a decade of picking the same players Southgate and England just blooded and grabbed as many players they could before they played for other nations. They probably knew they wouldn’t all make the grade. He’s pretty average but he does play a position that doesn’t grab headlines or highlights.
 
Think he was in the top 5 for most tackles and most interceptions in the premier league last season IIRC.

Two pretty good stats for a defensive midfielder.
 
He's offered nothing, our entire central midfield have provided 0 penetration.
 
I'm not sure what he does? He's one of those who pundits say 'look what he does off the ball'

He's very similar to Clayton. He may do a job but you feel you need more when he is in possession. You need more even from a holding CM.

Yes I heard that as well and saying he was the next carrick as well

This thread reminds me of when people never used to rate Henderson and Carrick before that.
 
I'm not going off his West Ham performances, I'm going off the fact I can't remember him having a good game for England.
