Whitelocks in city centre is a lovely pub as is the Wetherspoons near there on way to Arena.also liked wine bar the Decanter but its bit expensive.

Agree about Whitelocks - there is no such thing as a lovely Wetherspoons ;)

Agree about Whitelocks - there is no such thing as a lovely Wetherspoons ;)

I don't know, I love a few Shipyards in Swatter's and have never seen any trouble in there.

The last time I was in there was before the lockdowns.

I was up there the other week and took advantage of the Brew York recommendation.
That whole Northern Quarter with street bars and restaurants is superb - you can’t go wrong,

Tetleys is off. Apparently they've sent a few barrels back to the brewery as it was cloudy so they've taken it off. Camden Stout is nice though.

Some good suggestions already, I always enjoy Tapped decent atmosphere and close by the train station with great beers. Headrow house is good, proper tucked away with a decent roof terrace (meant to be fairly warm tomorrow).

Regarding food Gaucho is good, something quick and simple then Almost Famous or Pieminister. Loads of decent places but guessing you want to be heading in the general direction of the arena on arrival.
