de Kock refuses to take the knee

I've never said he's racist, I just think he's daft.
I just don't believe for a second that he's had a sudden epiphany over why he should be taking the knee.
He's doing it because of the huge backlash.

His step-mother and siblings being black only makes his initial decision even stranger.
According to you and I would ask why you feel adequate acquited to pass this judgement on a man you don't know and who comes from a completely different culture.

Could be wrong but I've not seen anyone say he is definitely a racist? I've seen a couple question his reasoning and clarify they don't think he is a racist though.

I don't think he is, but the reason he's given doesn't quite add up. That's my opinion if that's ok with you?

Oh and it's quite possible to have black friends and family and be a racist you know.

(Although, just to be clear, I don't think he is).
Disappointed in you festa, along with others. You, nor I have any idea why he made the decision he did.

Yet here we are pages and pages in with people making assumptions about a man's integrity and intelligence.

If you're comfortable with that, that's up to you but it is why I am disappointed in you.

I think the change has come from discussions with his team mates and him seeing what and why it means so much to them.
I would guess he's personally still against it but saw the disruption in the dressing room and thought it would be better to comply?
Then again I could be way off who knows

He's publicly said why he did.

He resented having to perform a gesture to show he wasn't racist.

Obviously he could be lying and there's another reason he wasn't doing it, but his stated reason is weak and makes his decision to refuse to play seem disproportionate.

And there's the problem a lack of understanding the gesture.
It wasn't and isn't to show he's not racist, it's to show solidarity with those who suffer prejudice because of skin colour.

Disappointed in me? You're not my parents! 😂

People are allowed to discuss it. Particularly given what he's done can easily be taken as anti anti racism. You feel differently, that's fine but don't be condescending. You're not automatically right (and neither am I).

You've made assumptions yourself that anyone querying his stance is automatically saying they think he's racist. Tad hypocritical maybe?

Nah not hypocritical festa. I think these kinds of threads often go beyond discussion to assumption then we get one set of posters attacking another.

The thread is invasive and unfounded.

We seem to becoming more and more polarised with viewpoints and intolerant of others views.

Now early to bed with no super for you young man.

A thread you have commented on 8 times! Perhaps better to have ignored straight away as it was inevitable it would get “polarised”

I’m not counting
