Day 1 lockdown diary

Batch cooked with my son (18) this morning, played football in the garden with him this afternoon, played tennis then set Disney Plus up for my daughter (16) on her TV as well, talked to my parents and a few friends on the phone. Watched a 30 For 30 and I’m about to look for something else to watch on TV for a bit, might have a peek a D+ and see what’s on Nat Geo.

Tomorrow son is going to help with the expansion of the herb garden into a little vegetable patch and I have a wardrobes and drawers tidying assignment with daughter, then it’s a webinar music quiz with family and friends on the evening.

It has been nice spending the additional time with the kids and doing things together that we normally wouldn’t.

Starting finally finishing off things I started ago ago today. Seen the 1/2 bottle of Merlot and Shiraz off. No idea what I’m going to go tomorrow now.

I’m honestly starting to see a bit of light in this already . As I live alone the house has got my attention . Things that have been getting put off are now remedied and I’ve contrived a to do list .
No going out and drinking since last week and already sleeping better . Think I’m going to come out of this better than I went into it 👍

Been in the back garden most of the day. Haven't touched it since last summer. Same again tomorrow. I made some bird nest boxes last year so I'll have a go at putting them up.The allotment won't get any attention for a few weeks now which is a shame. It's only round the corner as well but never mind

My diet has improved significantly. Cooking more, no eating out or delivery take aways, ernjoying being creative on small ingredients. No midweek alcohol and Im planning to have a nice tipple at 5pm on Friday evening and share with video call with friends. You can even play pub noise sounds over the audio system from Spotify!

Sat in my garden & listening to the birds singing, beautiful to hear

You're allowed on the allotment:

"Michael Gove MP, UK Minister for the Cabinet Office, stated this morning on the television that going to and tending your allotment was considered exercise and therefore allowable under the current more stringent rules for slowing the spread of the coronavirus."

Wheres 'over here' Alvez ?

ive been reading that Ian Dury Book, played a few games of Dom's - and given my postage stamp of a garden a little thought.

plus I cooked Tea for 3 - youngest Girl home from University and doing webinars for classes - I got an update on the street 'whatsapp' group that has been set up, by I may say, the two newest (now 3 - a new baby) residents to the street (small st, 8 houses one side and 9 on t'other) . i'm getting an education.

Oh just in the UK mate, I just followed the actual guidelines from well over a week ago. 🤦‍♂️
